Versitle Blooger Award

I admit it.  I really do enjoy getting awards.  Not because I think I deserve recognition but because it's so rewarding to know that there are people out there reading my blog.  It's also motivating.  Y'all keep me focused and writing which keeps my mind young even when the body is going downhill fast!  And your comments?  They keep me encouraged and laughing.

CMash Loves to Read graced me with The Versatile Blogger Award.  If you aren't following her already, go visit her blog.  She reviews books and has some very interesting guest bloggers and some very nice giveaways!  Here's her button:

Ok, so now we come to the sharing and passing on of the award.  I am following the lead of Cmash Loves to Read and keeping her changes:

Share 7  5 things about myself
Pass the award to 15  5 bloggers recently discovered
Notify the blogger recipients
Link to the blogger who gave the award

The sharing: 5 things about me:

1.  I do not like PURPLE.  And I'm not going to tell you why because I come off looking bad.

2.  I always wanted to have daughters never sons and we ended up with 4 daughters!

3.  My dream career is to be a photographer.

4.  I used to be a total, complete, absolute control freak.  Time has mellowed me.

5.  I do not like going to the doctor.  I'm always afraid she's going to tell me something I do not want to hear.

And now, the passing on:  If any of you do not like to accept awards or have already received this one and want to pass it on to someone else, please feel free to do so!

  2. I really want to read the purple story! How can not liking a colour make you come off bad?

You *know* you want to tell us!

    Also, congrats on the award!

  7. Congrats on your award, I agree with you about them.
I don't like purple either, because I begged for and got a purple coat when I was 10, but rapidly changed my mind and had to live with that coat for a long, long time. It put me off purple!

  8. Thank you for such lovely comments!

I haven't always disliked purple and the reason I do is very petty, immature, stupid and selfish. Someone I dislike very much in Hubs' family (because she is horrid and... well, she's just horrid) LOVES PURPLE. It's her favorite color. Once I discovered that about 25 years ago, I couldn't stand purple anymore. I associate the color with her. See? Not exciting. Just makes me look bad.

Maybe if I had been blogging back then (was there even such a thing a quarter of a century ago?) I would have had such wonderful friends leaving such uplifting comments that I wouldn't have allowed her to turn me against purple!

  11. Congratulations on your award. I use to be a control freak too, it's nice not being that way anymore. (well sometimes I am) I don't like going to the doctor either. A Baby Changes Everything has been one of my favorites for awhile now. Have a nice weekend.
