The Week in the Proverbial Nutshell

The weekend is all but over.  The lovelies have all returned to their outofthenest lives.  And here we sit...again...which means that it must be time for--- My Week in a

The biggest mistake of the week occurred on Wednesday.  It all started when I foolishly downloaded Angry Birds on my phone and began playing.  I can sum this up in one word:  ADDICTED.  Stupid game.

The college lovelies came for their usual Wednesday night home cooked dinner.  I almost forgot about them what with all the Easter prep shopping I had to do---yes, they STILL get Easter baskets.  They ended up having a veggie night but they loved it, so all was not lost!

When all the lovelies arrived, I was in 'forced-good-mood' mode because of a sinus attack.  However, BestSonInLawEVER came right in, gave me an adjustment (don't worry, he's a chiropractor) which immediately allieveated my headache and shot my mood straight into complete elation!  It's just amazing what a simple adjustment can do for one's aches and pains...and mood!

The lovelies spent a good portion of Saturday at the beach- where Deanie let someone put this on her back:

In case you can't tell (I don't know how to enlarge pix from facebook) that is a freaking ball python that some FOOL brought out to the beach.  All I have to say is EWWWWW, EWWWWW, EWWWWW, and EWWWWW!!!  I wouldn't have let that thing anywhere near me.  EWWWWW.

Easter dinner was Yummy!  I served ham, turkey, broccoli casserole, squash casserole, deviled eggs (with olives, of course), spinach quiche, whole wheat yeast rolls, sugar free cheesecake with fresh strawberries and Mimi (my mother) brought grandchild requested mac and cheese casserole and her orange salad (it's of the congealed sort and really tasty).

A few pictures:

Our family cannot gather without playing games!

I bought them purses this year with the SC Palmetto Tree and Cresent moon symbols on them.  BestSonInLawEVER and Tucker got baskets.

Tucker looks forward to his Easter basket all year...

he really gets into it.  That's DoodleBug and Mimi looking on.

(left to right) Birdie, BestSonInLawEVER, Deanie, Breezy, DoodleBug (holding Tucky), Aunt Betty...and, between DoodleBug and Aunt Betty is Mimi- who hates having her picture taken.

Our four lovelies- (left to right) DoodleBug, Birdie, Deanie, Breezy

DoodleBug and Breezy decided to entertain us with their version of the Easter story.

These are two wild and crazy gals!

Hope your Easter weekend was as wonderful, fun, silly, and family filled as ours was!

Shawn- I completely agree with you on all counts. LOL Deanie is crazy to let that thing on her. Breezy spent her time running from it. They said the owner even took it in the water...I would have FREAKED!
