Friday Hops!

It's the end of another week!  That means it's time for the FRIDAY HOPS! If you are here for FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY only, then just scroll down!  Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

First is Hilary's Follow Friday Four Fill-In at Feeling Beachie!

This weeks statements:

1. My closet is full of clothes, shoes and junk.  And that's AFTER I purged it.

2. I love coming home from work after---ok, well, I don't work outside the home so...I don't have a response for this one.

3. In high school I was bored to tears every single day!  I hated high school including most of the kids there and the teachers.  I have never in my life, before or since, been around more closed minded morons.  College was FANTASTIC though!

4. I wish I had more time for/to ----- it's not that I need more time it's that I need to use the time I have wisely.

Next is Five Question Friday from Mama M. at My Little Life.

This HOP is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet new friends!  If you click on the button, it'll take you right over there to join in the fun!

Questions for Friday, June 17th:

1. What is your favorite summer time activity? When the lovelies were growing up it was spending the days with NO SCHEDULES to keep!  We went to the beach every day and just had fun!  Now, summer is just like any other season with one exception- it's HOTTER.  So I guess my favorite summer activity now is anything that involves air conditioning!

2. Do you have one laundry soap you stick to, or do you buy whatever's on sale?  I usually go for the least expensive environmentally friendly stuff.

3. What is your favorite dinner to make in the summer?  Margaritas, daiquiris, Sangria...OH! You mean food?  I have two- a pasta salad and a garden salad with sliced grilled chicken strips on top.  Both are easy and dee- lish!

4. Do you have any talents? I possess un-fostered talents in a few areas, although I have been trying to explore one of them lately.  The jury is still out.

5. If you could instantly be an expert in something, what would it be? Why?  I'm not sure I would want to be an expert at anything.  I certainly wouldn't want the arrogance that accompanies some people when they reach that level of understanding.  Plus, most experts are constantly expected to 'fix' problems, have all the answers and are hounded by people all the time. I would not enjoy that at all.  HOWEVER, if it meant being an expert in something that led to discovering a cure for cancer- sign me up for being an expert!

Last, but certainly not least, is Java's Follow Friday 40 and Over!

  2. Saying this, tongue in cheek...but I'm starting to get cross with you...these reminders of yours that it's FRIDAY again are coming around far too quickly! I've barely blinked after the last one and the next is already staring at me from my computer screen! I swear Fridays never came this fast until I met you!

  3. Had to get my complaint in first, so it was clearly visible being only No 2 on the list ;)

This time, I'm here to comment on the content of today's post...I always enjoy your answers. You handle them so creatively and yet so honestly. It's a breath of fresh air reading what you've written. My guess is that you were just too bright for everyone else at high school ;) So glad you found your mojo at 'varsity!

Isn't it amazing how much hotter summers seem the older we get?

I love the sound of your pasta salad...any chance you'll share it with us? I love a good pasta salad, but don't have a good recipe for one.

So, you dine on cocktails through the heat of summer...sounds good to me ;)

Great response on being an expert! Couldn't agree with you more!

HAVE A SUPER FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND with your family all home :)

  6. thanks for linking up. There is a serious trend going on here where a lot of us didn't have a positive answer for the whole high school thing.

  7. Hello my favourite twin blogging friend. I have missed you terribly so i couldn't wait to come over and catch up with your posts. And, I see you have given me an award-not only that - it's a beautiful award and I am very touched. Thank you.
Pasta salad - just another good reason why I think you are fab.
Sorry I'm a bit light on the comments today-need all the time to read the posts I've missed.

  9. Joyce- From one slacker to another, I completely understand!

Desiree- I promise that if I EVER discover how to slow down the days, I will do it! Just for you! I don't know if I was brighter than those high school fools, but I was way more open minded and tolerant! I would love to have you over for a drink or two...or three!

Judy- Thanks so much! Can't wait to see where you're taking us today!

Kimberly- I can't wait to get to your blog and read!

Tawna- I'll head over there! A lot of folks are unhappy with google right now--but, in this case, I don't think that misery loves company!

Jennifer- Really? I haven't gotten to everyone yet, but I really did think that I was in that boat all alone!

Carol- TWIN! You're BACK! I MISS you terribly! You keep leaving me. But, at least you come back!

Donna-Sense they're un-fostered, you might want to avoid finding them out! LOL

  10. Wait! It can't be Friday so soon.

Have to agree on the high school thing. It was a step up from elementary school, though. I was mostly happy to get out of my small town and on to university.
