TGIF Hops!

It's the end of another week!  That means it's time for the FRIDAY HOPS! If you are here for FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY only, then just scroll down!

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

First is Hilary's Follow Friday Four Fill-In at Feeling Beachie!

Hillary says:  I would LOVE it if you could please help me spread the word about this hop!

This week’s statements:

1. I find putting on my headset and listening to music helps me relax when I come home from work. Music helps me relax under any and all circumstances. If I can't depend on anything else, I can depend on music--it can lift my spirits, soothe me, take the edge off a bad mood, whisk me off to far away places...

2. I always think my significant other looks best when he's not frowning.

3. Someday I’m going to be so completely happy that it will seem completely unfair.

4. When I open my eyes in the morning, I want to jump right up and go for an intense walk.  It's true.  It has become my habit. Unfortunately, Tucker can't take the heat/humidity so our walks are way too short even though I carry bottled water for him. Fortunately, I discovered doggie backpacks and have ordered one for Tuck. Next week, when he gets tired/hot, I will put him in his backpack and carry him the rest of the way! That's the one I got him on the right---click on the picture and it will take you to My Outward Hound- they have some of the coolest stuff!

Next is Five Question Friday from Mama M. at My Little Life.

This HOP is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet new friends!  If you click on the button, it'll take you right over there to join in the fun!

Questions for Friday, July 29th:

1. Vow renewal ceremonies-yay or nay?  Nay. But that's just because I'm not into all that ceremonial BS. I'm totally excited for anyone else who wants it and is into it though!

2. What sound/s annoy you the most? S.N.O.R.I.N.G. And I'm NOT kidding.

3. If you had to pick, would you have only all boys, or only all girls for kids? I always, since I was a little girl, wanted to have ALL girls and I did!  And I don't feel like I've missed out on anything at all!  The Lovelies are so amazing! I do think that BestSonInLawEVER is an amazing man though!  And the boytoys of Deanie and Birdie are awesome too! I don't mind having boys come into the family like this!

4. Do you believe in alternative medicine? Without hesitation YES. I will look for an alternative every time before succumbing to anything to/from the conventional medical community. Around here, it seems that most of our medical professionals are in the back pocket of the pharmaceutical companies. I don't like that. Nor do I trust it.

5. Would you take a family members children and raise them if they needed it? Probably. I say that because we have had some family members whose kids --let's say they walked a bad path (drugs, sex, stealing). To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure I would have been comfortable bringing a troubled teen in the house with the Lovelies. At the same time, it would have been difficult to turn my back on them.  Crap. This is a hard question. I guess it would depend on what influence I felt it would have on the Lovelies.  At this point in time, however, I can't think of a single kid in our family that I would hesitate for even a second to take in and raise--even the teenagers are terrific!
Anyone wanting to join in the TGIF HOPS, just click on the buttons and HAVE A BLAST!

  1. Boy children are sure different for a Mom. I would not have traded them for two more girls, though.

And the first wedding ceremony was all I ever needed, thank you very much. I never got why anyone would want to do it all over again with the same person. Does the inoculation wear off?

  2. Nay on the vow renewal...once was more than enough.
I'm with you that docs work for the pharmaceutical companies. I went to the dr.last week due to various and sundry issues and was prescribed 3 meds...REALLY???? How bout we find out WHY I'm having these issues instead of just masking the symptoms with drugs

  4. I´m not into the renewal ceremonies either. Even celebrating my big 5o is hard for me to do. I hate the attention.
I loved having just girls too and am enjoying the boys they are bringing into the family as well.

  5. Stephanie- Too funny- does the inoculation wear off? LOL

Cindy- If they found out why you wouldn't need the meds and then they wouldn't get the kick backs!

Barb-Thanks! I love you right back!

Betty-I don't like the attention either! Of course, I don't usually have to worry because Hubs never does anything for anniversaries or birthdays that is special.

  6. Acupuncture kicks ass! I found it about 10 years ago after I got tired of those big ass, so painful they make you speak in tongues, expensive cortisone shots in my shoulder.

  7. The last time I was at Round Top I saw a really pretty lady - probably 30 - 35 years old. She was dressed very nicely - looked like she could have stepped out of a magazine. I noticed she had one of those snuggly things (I don't know if that's really what they're called) so I was kinda surprised that she would have a tiny baby and when I looked closer, she had a tiny little Yorkie - all prettied up with a little bow in her hair - in the snuggly. It made me smile :-)

  8. Music does make things better. Jim looks best when smiling and he just doesn't do that enough. When I open my eyes in the morning I'd like to shut them just for a bit longer. Once was more then enough for the vows, nope nada, not happening again. Snoring and grinding the teeth, that's why I need to shut my eyes just a bit longer, each night it's the noise. One boy was plenty but sure love reading about your girls. I would take in my nephews in a nano second if they were to need me. I love your Q&A's. Just had to share min answers with you tonight.
Take care Pam and have a blessed weekend. Oh by the way, I love that backpack for Tucker. What a great idea.

  9. Power walking...oh me too. But it's been just way too hot here. Wonder if they make human carrying packs...maybe Bud would carry me? LOL Love the idea of Tucker having his own tho, that's super.

With the impending fizzling tropical storm yesterday and not being online much because of preparing for the worst that never came, I'm now trying to catch up on visiting those that visited me. Thanks for taking the time to leave a great comment: MUCH APPRECIATED!!

    Have a blessed weekend.

  11. I look forward to reading your answers each week. It's interesting to get a look inside your brain. ;-)

I would take my daughter's 3 children and raise them in a heartbeat. I'm ashamed to admit how bad a mother she is. Sometimes I don't even recognize her anymore.

  12. Michele- I've never tried it, but I would in a heartbeat to avoid meds! I have a friend who goes for her back and it's the only thing that made her feel better.

Donna- Tucker won't have a bow in his hair but I think he's gonna enjoy being carried around! He loves his basket on my bike. Everyone here is laughing about me ordering it, I think I'll get the last laugh though!

Julie- I'm like that too- I enjoy reading about Mike but glad I had girls! Of course, if Mike ever wants to come down here I still have one who's available. LOL

Anni- I'm sure Bud wouldn't mind toting you around. LOL I saw that the storm was not going to come your way. Will you get any rain at all from the outer bands?

Hilary- I really enjoy you meme on Fridays!

Beverly-It's kind of dangerous inside my brain. Be careful. LOL Sorry to hear that about your daughter. I never thought that something like that could happen.
