TGIF HOPS!

It's the end of another week!  That means it's time for the FRIDAY HOPS! If you are here for FIVE QUESTION FRIDAY or FRIDAY FRIEND CONNECT, or FOLLOW FRIDAY 40 AND OVER then just scroll down!

HUGE thank yous and hugs to the gals who sponsor these Friday memes!

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!

First is Hilary's Follow Friday Four Fill-In at Feeling Beachie!

This week’s statements:
  1. Somehow being in charge comes naturally to me. This might be a control issue.
  2. I could spend hours in a craft store namely, Michael's AND in places like Bed, Bath and Beyond. LOVE those stores.
  3. If money and time were no consideration, today I would tempt all the lovelies with their own houses in Charleston and move them back here where they belong! Oh, you mean just for today? Well, time is never really a consideration these days so...I'm just going with what I already wrote. :)
  4. You should always take time to do it right the first time!

Next is Five Question Friday from Mama M. at My Little Life.

This HOP is a great way to get to know each other better and to meet new friends!  If you click on the button, it'll take you right over there to join in the fun!

Questions for Friday, October 7th (sorry dahlin' but today is the 7th): (Special thanks to @tarabuzz, @signingcharity,@gasfamily, @trooppetrie, and Sandy for their question suggestions! I would LOVE to link YOU in a future 5QF, so c'mon over to my community and offer up your best question suggestions! Or watch for my Twitter shout out on Thursdays, and offer up your questions that way! Don't forget to@5crookedhalos me and use hashtag #5QF if you go the Twitter route!)

1. What is your go to comfort food or sweet?  I don't have one anymore. Thankfully. I used to go for chocolate. And none of that dark chocolate crap either. Milk chocolate. Pure, smooth, milk chocolatey goodness! Now, I've gotten over having a comfort food. It took me 53 years, but I have finally arrived!

2. What is the most romantic place you've ever been to? To be honest, when the weather is cold, Hubs and I can make our home quite the romantic place with a fire and some Bailey's Irish Cream. Oh yeah. Now y'all know why I prefer cold weather to hot!

3. What is your favorite thing about fall/Halloween? About fall: football, cooler temps, football, changing colors, football, the holidays... Halloween: the excitement on the faces of those little ghosts and goblins who come calling out "Trick-or-Treat!!!"

4. How would you spend 24 hours alone? I'm alone a good bit of every day since the lovelies live in their own homes now and since Hubs goes to work every day. So I spend my days writing, playing with Tucker, cooking, organizing, improvement projects, going to Target...HOWEVER, BFF's last day at her very crappy job is TODAY and we have some MAJOR plans for Monday! Woot!!!

5. Does you husband bring you flowers? Are you the bring-me-flowers type of girl? Hubs knows better than to bring me flowers. I don't see the purpose of ripping something beautiful out of the ground just to bring it inside to die. If he brings me flowers, it has to be a potted plant that can be planted outside. He surprises me with other little things from time to time like Bailey's Irish Cream (see #2). But NEVER in an attempt to appease me. I don't like that either.

AND let's not forget FOLLOW FRIDAY 40 AND OVER with JAVA over at NEVER GROWING OLD

  2. I understand well your desire to move your girls all back home. It's Thanksgiving this weekend in Canada, and I've got one child in Denmark, and an other who is cramming a very short visit home between his mid-term exams!

  3. Kara- Denmark is really far away. Our youngest is talking about the Peace Corps after graduation. I don't think I can stand it.

  4. I so much agree with number 2 - I am a homey person too and enjoy getting cosy inside with a glass of wine, now when it's colder outside :-)

  9. Always fun to read your answers.
I don´t like chocolate that much anymore either. ONly if it´s the really expensive Swiss kind. :) Luckily we don´t get it here often.

  10. Ever wonder why we taught our daughters that they could grow up and be anything, go anywhere and be self-sufficient, then.......they did! What were we thinking??? Good luck with the Charleston house project. ;-) My Texas daughter will never move back to Wisconsin because of the winter. Wah.
