Birdie Goes to London

Just wanted to share a few pictures of Birdie and Evwardo's trip to London! Ok, maybe more than a few but y'all know how I am about pictures. They had a fabulous time and met some really nice folks. And, being young as they are, had no trouble with jet lag.

Birdie standing beside a piece of the Berlin Wall.

Birdie at the Tower of London---

 Taking an audio tour...

This was one of Birdie's favorite places---

But the Globe Theater was her absolute favorite. They saw Richard III while they were there and Birdie said it was the best play she's ever seen!

Tower Bridge and Olympic rings!

A view from the London Eye---

One of the few pictures of them together---

The White Tower---

Even I knew what this was---

Awesome chandelier in the Victoria and Albert Museum...

Evwardo and Sherlock Holmes...well, a statue...

They figured everyone had to have a shot of this---

 Evwardo on Chelsea Bridge--

Evwardo on Millennium Bridge about which he said, and I quote: "I thought this bridge was awesome. It's also pretty impressive that they were able to rebuild it so fast after it was destroyed by the deatheaters in Harry Potter."

The Imperial War Museum---Birdie is standing in between the cannons---can you see her?

I hope I got all that right. I'm sure they'll let me know if I didn't .

They saw more places but I had to narrow the pictures down or y'all would be here all day long. I also left the pictures of the food they had out because, seriously, they make me hungry!

If I ever disappear, I've probably hopped a plane to London for some of their delicious fish and chips!

  5. I was looking forward to this post - and I was not disappointed! Loved the pictures of B&E and London. V&A Museum and Imperial War Museum are on my 'must see' list. You will recognize one of the photos on tomorrow's Anglophile Friday post. lol

So glad they had a great time. :-)

  6. You can never have too many pictures of London : ) My favorite city in the world. I think the women are thinner because everybody walks everywhere. You definitely notice that when you're back in the states.

  7. Looking at all of those great pictures I would go with you. What fun. I am glad you didn't show food because it is nighttime and I would be starving too.
I really enjoyed seeing all of those places and I really need to go someday.

  10. Very cool photo essay of London! Maybe one day, when I'm not such a chicken about flying and have the money I can visit the UK. First stop, London! I'm sure the Queen wants to have tea with me.

  11. Judy- They did have a great time! And they would love to go back when they have more time and take in some of the countryside.

Joyce- You're probably right about that! BTW, they tried the Indian curries and Birdie said they were delicious but HOT. Which is odd because we usually can't get things hot enough for her around here! LOL

Kim- Let's go and eat! We probably wouldn't gain any weight if we walk everywhere like Joyce says they do over there!

    Shannon- Thanks! You're quite welcome!

Mimi- They really enjoyed the Imperial War Museum. Have a great time at the Olympics! Are you sure you want to be tortured like that- by the food pix? LOL Hey! No fair, you're going and you get to eat that stuff! LOL

Cathy- I'm sure she does too! LOL I'm with you on the flying thing!

  13. Hi Pam. I do hope that the two youngsters had a terrific time in London, and it looks as if the rain held off for them. I noticed there was also a shot of Birdie in the Natural History Museum! You can't beat our British Fish & Chips my friend! Great photos of all the famous landmarks.
