Frig Fragging Away

It's so nice to enjoy every day like a Friday during the summer months. I do miss school- the students, faculty, everyone--but I am certainly enjoying having the time off. It's exhausting trying to keep up with elementary students! They will either keep you young or kill you. LOL

I've been purging some unneeded, bulky furniture in the house- just a couple of pieces. I loved my desk I had but it took up most of the room so, hello Craigslist. I decided that I wanted some bookcases in there and I got three. Being mom to four most amazing daughters, I made a collage on the back of the bookcases from my skirt! magazines.

The last one arrived Wednesday afternoon. I finished it yesterday. Of course, they're all filled with books and random other things that needed a home now. But I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.

I'm almost finished with the 'Fringe' series. When I do finish it, I'm going to have to stay away from Netflix and Hulu. I don't want to discover another series I never saw but like. This thing takes up way to much of my day. Of course that's because I watch multiple episodes each day. I'm like that when I find something I really like. It's like I can't get enough. Especially when it's freaky like this one.

DoodleBug will celebrate her 22nd birthday on Wednesday. We're going shopping tomorrow. I can't believe the littlest lovely is going to be 22. Wow. That was quick.

Hope y'all have a marvelous weekend!

*Friday Fragments normally lives at Half-Past Kissin’ Time, but  is staying at UnknownMami.com for the summer!

  1. Love, love, love the bookcase make-over! What a great idea.

WE watch NetFlix too and I blogged about it in my Friday Frags too. It's addictive!

Happy 22nd Birthday to your Doodle Bug!

    And Happy Friday, jj

  2. I like your title today.
Nice work on the book cases but I'm guess they will not be filled with books since then you would not see your great work. You should rent/borrow a boy and fill one with transformers, skeletons, cars, lizards and dead stuff.

  3. Joanna- Thank you! You're right about Netflix IF you can find something on there worth watching. Which I did. And am now doing nothing but watching. LOL

bill- They're already filled with books and other things. You can still see some of the collage- most of it, really. I have a SIL- with one more coming in May. I don't need any more boys. LOL

  6. Kathy- Thanks! I am- even though most of it is covered up by books. LOL

Terri- Thank you! It's more girly in there than 'officey' but we're all about girls around here. LOL You have a good one too!

  7. We were that way with 24...we'd watch hours at a time. I mentioned to my hubs the other day we should watch the last season which we never saw. He said, no way! He is way too busy at work to be glued to the tv at night for hours. He knows we can't watch just one : )

  11. Joyce- A friend I teach with LOVED 24. Ha! Just like potato chips. LOL

Lucy- Yep. 22. I can't believe it. She's the BABY for goodness sakes. Glad you like the bookcases. Thanks!

Keetha- I'm so addicted to it. Though as the fourth season started and continues, it's not as good. Or maybe it's over my head. LOL

    Debby- Thank you so much!

  12. Amazing bookcases wow! My youngest daughter just turned 33, sigh. My oldest daughter came to stay with us for the summer with her 17-year-old daughter, 11-year-old son and 4-year-old girl. We are having so much fun with them but we are SO tired:)
My husband and I will spend an entire weekend watching an entire series. Last weekend it was Hell on Wheels. We both loved it. We decided that was it for the summer.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  13. Doreen- I notice that I'm tired just hanging out with DoodleBug who moved back in all by herself. LOL I've just finished 'Fringe' and I'm NOT starting another one. Really. I'm not. :)

  14. They do grow up so fast. I have no idea where the time goes. Our youngest is going to be 25. And our oldest grandchild is going to be 21. Crazy.

Are you into Masterpiece Theater? Those are my must-watch shows. I've never heard of 'Fringe' and have never watched an episode of 'Lost,' which I hear a lot of people like. I'll have to try them. Do you watch 'Dr. Who' on PBS? I like the 11th doctor, Matt Smith.
