Turkey Eve Hodgepodge

It's Thanksgiving break! WooHoo! And, MAN! Am I ever grateful!

I'm also grateful the Joyce and the Hodgepodge!

1. Are you settling for something? I did settle for something once. I try not to anymore.

2.  It wasn't that long ago almost every store in the US locked doors and turned out lights on Thanksgiving Day. This year many will be open all day Thursday, giving shoppers a jump start on 'Black Friday'. In your opinion is this a good thing or a not so good thing? Will you be shopping on Thanksgiving Day? I don't know whether it's a good thing or not. I mean, it's personal choice whether people want to spend that day with their loved ones or not. I, personally, will not be shopping on Thursday or Friday.

3. Speaking of shopping... I saw a recent article on the twelve best shopping cities in the world. In order they are-

New York, Tokyo, London, Kuala Lumpur, Paris, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Vienna, Dubai, Madrid, Milan, and Seoul.

Ever shopped in any of the cities listed? In which city would you most like to pull out the plastic or cold hard cash? I have not shopped in those cities. And I have no desire to do so. I am just not a traveler nor a shopper.  However, if I did ever find myself in one of those cities, I would buy Christmas ornaments. That's what everyone brings me back from their travels- and I LOVE them!

4.  When did you last dine by candlelight? It's been way too long to remember.

5. What do you have too much of? Annoyances.

6. The Hunger Games...are you a fan?  Did you read the book(s)?  Will you/have you seen the movie?  Will you/have you seen Catching Fire?  No spoilers please! Have not read the books. Won't see the movie or read the books.

7. Share your plans for Thanksgiving Day. The who, the where, the what...especially the what! As in what's for dinner?  If you're one of my International visitors, whose homeland doesn't celebrate American Thanksgiving (the whole world doesn't ya know!), then still tell us your plans for Thursday. SonInLawIntended's family is coming over. There will only be 2 lovelies here and Birdie's BFF and her mom. I'm cooking and the menu will be the same that it is every year. Every. Single. Year. Because around here, the lovelies get rather testy if you try to change anything.

8.  Insert your own random thought here. It seems as though the weather will be cooperating over the holiday. Keep your fingers crossed. I can't stand a hot Thanksgiving. Or Christmas, for that matter. I really appreciate fall having fall weather and winter having winter weather. I don't care much for spring and summer. Snow? I would LOVE some snow! Anyone have any to share? :)

  1. I know you are not happy about the 4 lovelies being home for Thanksgiving but at least you are having a nice get-together anyway. It is too chilly for me here today so I'm hoping you're enjoying it! xx
