Hodgepodge Madness

We're still going from highs in the 70s one day to the 30s the next day. It's madness I tell you. I just want winter to be winter and keep spring out of it. So many kids are sick and the adults are not far behind. Including myself. I'm on the verge and fighting it every step of the way.

Luckily, I still feel good enough to participate in the hodgepodge! It makes everyone feel better!

1. The expression 'mad as a March hare' originated with a fictional character who is distracted and frantic. When were you last 'mad as a March hare' and what was it that made you that way? I can't remember the last time I felt that way. But there's someone who lives here who is in that frantic/distracted nearly every single day and I can honestly say that being on the receiving end of it SUCKS.

2. Mardi Gras this year falls on Tuesday, March 4th. Have you ever been to Mardi Gras, and if so what did you think? If not, do you have any interest in going?  Purple, green, and gold are the colors of Mardi Gras. Which one is most prevalent in your wardrobe? How about in your home? I've never been. I have no interest in going. As for the colors, I HATE purple so none of that in my wardrobe. There's some gold on my mother of the bride outfit and I have a green shirt or two. In the house I'm going to go with green.

3. Are you old fashioned? In some ways and not so much in others. It just depends on what, exactly, we're talking about.

4. Do you carefully plan your vacations, or do you prefer the days to be more spontaneous? Vacation???? What in the world is that? Oh my darlings, I have never been on vacation to speak of since that whole marriage thing started. My family went on vacation all the time when I was growing up and we also went camping in the mountains on the weekends in the fall. Of course, not going on vacation when your house is only 3 miles from the beach isn't so bad.

5.  March is National Sauce Month...what's your favorite sauce, and what do you most often top with this sauce? Does tartar sauce count on anything seafood and french fries? LOL

6.  What's something that easily brings a tear to your eye? Those darn ASPCA commercials.

7. If you could own any sports team, which one would it be and why? The Carolina Panthers. Because it's football, duh. AND to get rid of the idiots who own them now.

8.  Insert your own random thought here. I wrote a post about cyberbullying right HERE. Please share it with anyone you know with elementary aged kids or grandkids. It's very important.

Have a great rest of the week, y'all!

  2. Oh yes, those ASPCA commercials. I can't watch them. I have to turn the channel. Mistreatment of any animals just makes me furious, and I cannot understand WHY!

Tartar sauce on French fries? Seriously? lol

  6. Chronically frantic people exhaust me too. I kind of want to shake them and say get a grip, organize your life! While I guess we all are that way on occasion, no one needs to be that way on a regular basis. Can't wait to see your mother of the bride dress!
