Monday Memories: My First Date

Hey, y'all! There's a fun meme in town and it's all about sharing memories! Y'all know how much I appreciate memories so you can imagine how excited I was to hear of a meme all about writing our memories! I, of course, missed the first one but I'm just going to combine the first and second memories together in this post.

Retired Not Tired Memory Monday

This week's prompt is: My First Date

I've been thinking about this one since last week and I cannot for the life of me recall my first date. I think it's because I didn't really date, per se. Mostly, we all just sort of went out together in a group. There were boys and girls but I don't recall a traditional date. I do remember various dates from time to time but I have no idea about the first one with just one boy.

It must not have been very memorable. Ha!

I do remember the first date I had that really meant something to me. That wasn't until college. And, for now, I'm going to hold that memory. It's a good one. The best. I'll let it all out one day. :)

If something comes to mind, I'll come back and change this post. Meanwhile, I shall enjoy reading all of your posts about your first dates.

  1. If you got to my post, you know I didn't remember my first date either. I don't think we're alone, though!!

Our first date, I don't remember what we did, but I still remember the dress I chose to wear for the occasion. :)

  4. I read the title and starting thinking how is it that people remember these things. Great to know I'm not the only one who forgets many past events. Thanks for being honest and sharing.
Oh, although it's not a first date by any means, I did a post about an evening with a young lady long ago. I need to search back and find it.

    1. I think I might have tuned out most of those years purposefully. High school was a really sucky time for me. But college, those were the years! And the things I forgot during those years were due to other reasons. LOL
