SuperDuper Hodgepodge

I'd like a do-over on January and make the weather more winter-like, please. Here we are in February and we've had all of 3 days of coldish temps. I've been robbed! Of winter! These roller coaster temperatures have been making loads of people sick this year. Yes, I'm blaming it on the weather and I'm not changing my mind. So there. LOL

No matter what the weather is doing, the Hodgepodge is always fun!

1. What's the last thing you did that someone else thought was super? Every time I tried to answer this question it felt like bragging. Yes, even though it was other people who thought what I did or am doing is super. So, I'll just move on.

2. The last thing you ate that tasted superb? Monday, Lovely1 decided we needed a couple of bundtlets from Nothing Bundt Cakes. So, she went straight over there and bought us a couple. Ok, 2 each. I had lemon and carrot. Superb seems an understatement.

3. Supersensitive, superstitious, superwoman, superambitious, supercilious, supervisor, superficial...pick a super word from the list and tell us how it relates to your life in some way recently or currently. I'll go with supervisor because I have to watch Baby M's every move these days. She's a bit on the move and very interested in exploring things she shouldn't because those are the most appealing things to explore if you're a baby. She's found the books on the bookshelves in her nursery. I have to switch now and put the sturdier books on that bottom shelf.

Because one book is never enough.

4. Do you love easily? Not really. If you're comfortable doing so, explain why you think that is. It's related to a defense mechanism I put in place over the years so as not to be taken advantage of and disappointed. Once you've been betrayed enough, I think we tend to do this. Even though it's not the best thing for us. I don't know. Shaky ground here. And I'm not just talking about romantic love. It seems anyone can betray another person. Probably should have just moved on from this one too, huh?

Then again, this face is super easy to love:

Well, shoot. The background in that picture reminds me I have yet to put the hutch back together from Christmas. At least I did take down the Christmas decorations. Most of them. Sigh.

5. Valentine's Day lands on a Tuesday this year. Will you mark the day in some way? I will send cards to the lovelies. If you're celebrating with a dinner out somewhere will it be on Tuesday or will you celebrate over the weekend? I don't celebrate Valentine's Day anymore. I used to do it up big just like everything else but that was when the lovelies were little and that stuff was fun. Now that Baby M is here, I'll go back to it but not this year. She's still too little. Plus, her mommy says, no sugar.

My mommy says WHAT?!
6. What's something you are loving right now? I bet y'all know what's coming...THIS FACE, especially when it's covered in cereal.

I'm also loving making the coasters and note cards for CoasterDoodles:

7 Write a three word (or less) phrase you'd like to see on a Valentine candy heart.  We (Lovely1 and I) decided to be silly and have fun with this one:

Step away, slowly.
Not today, son.
I think not.
How 'bout, no?
Not a chance.
When pigs fly.
I'm good, thanks.

To y'all:

I love Hodgepodgers!
I love Hodgepodging!

8.  Insert your own random thought here. Just a reminder that I'm having a giveaway from the Esty store this week. All you have to do is choose your favorite set of coasters and tell me which ones you picked. The winner will be announced Saturday morning. It's fine to comment on this post or you can go to FB or Instagram or even right HERE. Here are the choices:

Have a great rest of the week, y'all!

  2. Fun candy phrases! And I bet that list was really lots longer. :-) No sugar for sweet baby M is smart. I wonder how old I was before sugar became my favorite. :-((( Which reminds me, those Bundtlets!! I'd fight you for the lemon, and the carrot would be my second choice - of all kinds of cakes! Your Coaster Doodles are beautiful!

    1. We did have a blast with that one. And yes, the list was longer. LOL I agree that no sugar is smart. I wish I could do it and stick with it myself but I fell off the wagon again and haven't even considered getting back on. Sigh. If you come down here I will buy you your own lemon bundtlet! And we'll take them out to the beach to eat them. :) Thank you, Judy! I do enjoy making the coasters and the notecards.

  7. I understand your answer to #4 about not loving easily. "Defense mechanism" is a good way to put it.
Baby M is growing so fast, and I'm sure she keeps you on your toes, these days. Bookshelves were always a favorite thing for my grands to explore, too. Thankfully, the ten-year-old still likes to explore her book shelf of books for older kids.
I got a kick out of your three word phrases! So many ways to say "NO" :)
I love the new projects you have been working on. The coastal bird coasters are my favorites.
Enjoy the rest of your week,
    Kathy (Reflections)

    1. It definitely is a defense mechanism. I wish I could be one of those who just keep on loving no matter what, but I'm not. Baby M does keep me on my toes and she keeps my toes curling up, too. Just a couple times of running them over with that walker did it. LOL I've got you listed for the bird coasters! I'll announce the winner on Saturday! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
