Ding-A-Ling Wednesday Medley Calling

Who got some of that delightful snow? We didn't. We got rain. Shocker. Please share your beautiful snow pictures! Meanwhile, let's get to the Medley!

1.  National Ding-a-Ling Day is observed across the United States each year on December 12.  Ding-a-Lings on this day call the people they haven’t heard from in a while.  It may be an old classmate, co-worker or neighbor from years ago.  Or perhaps a call will go out to the child who used to mow the grass during the summer.  How about that couple who carpooled for soccer. There are all sorts of people in our lives who manage to slip out of our lives who would love to hear the ding-a-ling of a call from you or me.  So tell us who you want to call today! Hahaha! I thought you were talking about these:

I can. not. stand. talking on the phone so I wouldn't call anyone if I can possibly avoid it and I'm caught up with everyone in every other way so maybe I'll look for the ding-a-ling of the chocolate sort.

2.  Each year on the 12th day of December, people across the United States recognize National Poinsettia Day.  I am including this "National Day" too because my neighbor's poinsettia from last year is blooming beside their house!!  Have you ever tried to plant a poinsettia outside? I never even considered planting a poinsettia outside. Hmmm...maybe I'll get one and give that a try. Interesting.

3.  Do you believe in Bigfoot? Oh gosh, do I have a story about this but it's super long so I'll spare y'all the details and just say, yes. What size shoe do you wear and do you have trouble shoe shopping? I'm 5'10" so I do not walk on small feet. I do have trouble shoe shopping but mostly because I hate shopping, I don't like things touching my feet, and I mostly just wear flip-flops or Keenes, or sneakers.

4.  What is one thing you refuse to share? Just ONE? My toothbrush. My hairbrush. My pillow. My drink, don't even think about asking for a sip. I'm somewhat of a germophobe so...funny I wasn't like that when the girls were growing up.

5.  Are you finding that this Christmas is stressful? Nope. More or less than last year?  I don't recall last year being stressful but I'm not sure if that's because it wasn't or because I blocked it out. LOL The only thing that gets stressful is when people try to suck the joy out of the holiday and that has already begun. I'm determined to smack the crap out of them this year.

6.  Tell us something random about your week so far! It's time for the rolling of the balls to commence. The ingredients have been purchased and I'm just waiting on the helper elves to show up and start rolling.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, y'all!

    1. I love it, too! It just seems to have come around way to quickly this year. I like to make my way slowly to the big day. My feet are wide, too and it's awful finding a pair of shoes that don't squeeze my feet.

  6. We have to work at not letting people steal our joy. So do your grands try to drink from your cup? Mine is all about having a sip of what I'm having, especially if a straw is involved. We get him a cup of water and a straw in restaurants and that keeps him entertained/busy : ) Merry Christmas! Will you have everyone home or a few at least?

  7. I had the same idea - as an empty nester and as a psychologist - I did some research on empty nest and started my own blog.
Like your site - please check out mine - I have a daughter in Nashville as well. No snow pictures as I live in South Florida. Merry Christmas!
