Music That Makes the List
Stasha, over at The Good Life,
is at it again! She hosts Monday Listicles each week and today is no
exception. This week, we have a MUSIC theme. I had to make TWO LISTS. One just wasn't going to cut it. All you have to do to join the fun is click on the link or the button!
Songs That/Artists Who Make Me Want to BARF or Slap the
Person Standing Closest to Me
1.
Anything sung by Celine Dion. She makes my ears
bleed.
2.
Anything sung by Barbara Streisand. She can sing
a song I LOVE and turn me against that song.
3.
Hey Jude, Yesterday and Michelle. The only three
Beatles songs I HATE.
4.
John Lennon’s Happy Christmas—the only Christmas
song I HATE.
5.
Most disco music. Self explanatory.
6.
Anything sung by the Bee Gees! ARGH!!!
7.
Calendar Girl- This one makes me want to pull my
hair out.
8.
It’s a Small World After All---Kill me.
9.
Anything by the Carpenters. Hurl.
10.
Anything by the Captain and Tennille. Definitely
cause for BARFING.
If anyone ever wanted to torture me, just put me in a room
and play these over and over and over. I would die from the pain. Want to make
it faster? Put Celine Dion’s picture on the wall. Speedy quick? Show a
Streisand movie.
Now, here’s one more list for y’all.
Songs I am Completely Embarrassed to have on My iPod for
Working Out (But WTH? I’ve already let y’all know I’m reading the Fifty Shades
trilolgy)
1.
Pump It, I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow (The
Black Eyed Peas)
2.
On The Floor (Lopez)
3.
Just Dance (GaGa)
4.
Low; Club Can’t Handle Me (Flo Rida)
5.
I Like it (Enrique Iglesias)
6.
Party Rock Anthem (LMFAO)
7.
Get the Party Started (Pink)
8.
International Love (Pitbull)
9.
Shut Up and Let Me Go (The Ting Tings)
10.
Hot n Cold (Katy Perry)
And now that I have completely humiliated myself, I will bid
y’all adieu. I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

I love it!!! Can we be friends? lol

Hey Jude makes me want to hurt someone- anyone.
ReplyDeleteColletta- Thanks! Of course we can be friends!
ReplyDeleteMichele- Oh gosh, I have always hated that song. Always!
ReplyDeleteBetty- YES! I'm in good company! LOL
ReplyDeleteThe Ting-Tings are definitely a guilty pleasure. :-)
ReplyDeletePearl
Loved your list! Capt and Tennille oh my! Your ipod list is great ;)
ReplyDeletePearl- No doubt! LOL
ReplyDeleteStacie- Thanks! Oh I can't stand them! Those songs on my iPod make me move during a workout, that's for sure!
I don't think you should be embarrassed by any of those. Except maybe Jennifer Lopez. But not if you love it - then you definitely shouldn't be embarrassed :)
ReplyDeleteKatie- The thing I do like about them is that they make me really hit my workouts hard! And that is a very good thing!
ReplyDeleteLol I have all of your gym playlist songs on my iPod as well :)
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about Streisand and Celine Dion, but I do like the bee gees (I know, sad uh?) I don't listen to music much when I work out, except for Billy Joel and some classical. :)
ReplyDeleteI like Barbra (but she is completely OVER THE TOP), but I cannot stand Celine Dion. I'm totally with you on that one. Is that weird, to like Barbra and despise Celine? I'm not much of a Josh Groban fan either...
ReplyDeleteLOL Pam, awesome lists - I actually have several
ReplyDeleteof your workout tunes on MY workout playlist! I have never heard of the ting tings though! Now I have to go check them out! Also, I feel your pain with every single one of the songs/musicians that you cant stand EXCEPT, I have a little odd affinity for Barb - goes way back. :) These lists are fun

Well excuse me, but I happen to be partial to 'Hey Jude.' ;-) And I totally agree with you on Celine Dion. Who told her she could sing??

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Celine Dion, Gag! But, three of my faves are on your list. Gasp! I cannot NOTmove to the BeeGees. :-)
ReplyDeletePlum- Yay! I’m in good company!
ReplyDeleteAlessandra- I’m pretty much in the boat alone with not liking the Bee Gees. Everybody I know loves them! I can workout without music but having the music sure does spur me on faster and harder.
Marie- I’m not much of a Josh Groban fan either. The weird part is liking Barbara. LOL I’m kidding- I know a ton of people who love her. I’m just not one of them.
Jessica- I bet you’ll be adding the Ting Tings to your playlist! A lot of people love Barbara- I just can’t stand her. And that goes way back. LOL The lists are fun! You should join in on Mondays! I bet your lists would be HILARIOUS!
Judy- I don’t know who told her but they sure were wrong. Of course, I suppose her bank account would indicate otherwise. LOL Hey
Jude has always annoyed me and I have no idea why.
Kate- Oh no! LOL I’m pretty sure I’m in a boat by myself with several of those!
This cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your thoughts on your reading.
Celine and Barbra...yes! The ears do bleed and the nose wants blowing! Love your lists. I think you are my sister. Really.
ReplyDeleteDon't tell on me but I am one hundred percent behind you on your first list. I just felt ill thinking about Celine. In fact for making such a rad first list I will forgive you the second one. I guess those songs are good for sweating at the gym...
