Time for Some Chattin'

It's Tuesday. And that means two things: only three more days until we get an entire week OFF from school AND some chattin' time on Patrice's front porch!

Questions
  1. What's your favorite Thanksgiving side dish? For anyone not in the US, what's your favorite fall side dish? The stuffing. Oh how I LOVE the stuffing!!!
  2. What's the first thing you do when you have a headache? I don't get headaches anymore- thanks to a change to organic eating and gluten free coupled with oil pulling and dry skin brushing. BUT, when I did get them, I think I went straight for the ibuprofen.
  3. Do you like to "people watch"? (Observe people in public while waiting for something or relaxing)Yes! And I particularly enjoy doing this with my dad. He's the funniest thing when we people watch. His commentary has me rolling!
  4. Where's your family most likely to eat for a day to day meal? (Read= not holiday) When the lovelies were growing up we had every breakfast and evening meal at the family table. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Without fail. Now, I just sit and eat while watching television or reading. Unless the lovelies are home. Then, it's back to the table!
  5. Tell me about your plans for Thanksgiving Day. Or tell me something special you will do soon. My brother and SIL are cooking this year so we'll eat with them. There will be about 15-20 of us there. And it will be DEE-LISH!
Have a great rest of the week!

  1. Lucky you on the vacation for Thanksgiving. They don't celebrate it here in the Philippines, but they do have the oddest holidays ever. Enjoy your time off. Me? I made reservations at a 5-star hotel to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Turkeys here are imported and cost about $50 for a 12-pounder. Ridiculous.

  3. I would enjoy people watching with your dad. But we would likely get arrested, or at the very least, in a brawl. Lol

  4. Jeremy- My SIL is cooking and she is Filipino! So we get traditional and a few of her favorite dishes as well- the best of both worlds! Enjoy your THanksgiving!

    JP- I must agree! LOL

Kim- You've got a point there. LOL But I think it would be worth it. :)

  5. Stuffing is my favorite too! YUM.

One thing I miss because of the new TSA rules: people watching. We used to occasionally go to the airport, pick a gate, and watch the people from many lands. SO interesting. Everything's gotten so weird.

    Your dad sounds like fun!

  6. It sounds nice. I think it will be nice if you have someone else cook.
Then at Christmas you can go crazy and cook lots of yummy things.
So glad I stopped by. I broke down and made a eye appointment. I think my headaches are because of my eyes. I was awake at 3:15 and I thought you know I am 54 I guess I might need glasses. :) I hope you are having a nice week. We have had frost. The bugs are dying. :)

  10. How fun to have the week off next week! Equally fun sounds like your Thanksgiving celebration!! Stuffing does rock, doesn't it?

I think it was neat about having dinner/breakfast at the table when your daughters were home; what a wonderful tradition to have started and continued!

  13. I think the majority of us chose stuffing as the favorite side dish. Your view of people watching sounds very entertaining (I hope I never walk by you and your dad, LOL!). Have a wonderful rest of your week.
