The Best Surprise

Here's the 8th suggestion from Oprah's site that every woman should write down:

The Best Surprise.

I'm gonna go with the Christmas I got my little puppy- Jacques. I had no idea (though I thought I heard a puppy in the wee hours of that Christmas morning) and I was so excited!

This was my first sighting of Jacques.

Not too happy, eh? :)

I can't think of another time in my entire life that I got a great surprise like that. Tucker wasn't a surprise, I knew he was coming. Otherwise, he would have been up here too. :)

What's the best surprise you ever received?

    1. It's the only time I remember being really surprised. In all my years. But I am grateful that I have at least one. Thanks!

  2. Wow! Yeah, a puppy definitely would have been my top surprise (if they'd been surprises). As it was, my best surprise was the Christmas my mom forgot to put my figure skates under the tree and the night came and went with no skates. Only a flannel nightie (my mom made me a new one every year). I was so disappointed. Then my brother saw my disappointment and told my mom. She ran upstairs to get them. It was late at night, but I was SO happy to see those skates. :-)

    1. That was a surprise alright! Goodness. I know how your mom must have felt- I've done something similar and I felt awful!

  4. That's a sweet one! Hubs planned a special getaway for my 40th, right down to having my mom show up to stay with our girls, all unbeknownst to me. We had a wonderful time away, but it was all the thought and planning that went into the weekend that meant the most to me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment! It makes me feel connected to everyone even though we may live far apart! Have a wonderful day!
