I is for Ibis

I took these pictures in November at the front pond where Tucker and I walk every day.  We haven't seen them back in there since then so I'm glad I took my camera that day!

This is the 9th day of the A-Z Blog Challenge for the month of April.  I decided to try this challenge in the hopes of keeping some momentum going; getting my brain to stay warmed-up; and trytrytry to improve my writing--well, really, to find my voice.  Just click the badge on my sidebar to join in the challenge!

  19. A couple of years ago I took a cruise along the Nile and wondered whether I'd be lucky enough to see Egypt's 'sacred' ibis. Then one day while disembarking from a felucca onto a walkway over a reed fringed river edge suddenly, poking about in the mud at the root of the reeds, was an ibis. What a thrill!
