It's a Breezy Day!

And by It's a Breezy Day, I mean-- it's BREEZY'S BIRTHDAY!

I could tell y'all how brilliant Breezy is- seriously, brilliant to the point of genius. Or I could tell you what an avid believer she is in our Constitution. Or I could tell you how talented she is- a writer of poetry and short stories, she plays the cello and guitar, she paints. Or I could tell you how she is THE comic relief in the family. Or I could tell you how outgoing, generous, loving, loyal, passionate, compassionate...that she is. Or how she is protective of her sisters to the point of...well, just don't mess with her sisters.

I could tell you how she's the lovely who's been with me the longest. And how she's the one who was often called acid tongue at the ripe old age of...two. And how she's been questioning authority without fear since the age of---three. And how she would argue a point to death even after winning a debate because she had "one more point to make." And how she entertained us all with getting things stuck on her fingers and falling after tripping over---nothing but air. And how, when she played basketball, would politely hand the ball to the defensive player trying to take it away from her.

But I won't. Instead, I've made a video that, hopefully, shows what a great kid she is.

FYI: The lovelies didn't grow up with Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star or The Itsy Bitsy Spider. Oh no. They grew up singing the Beatles; the Marshall Tucker Band; The Doors; Pink Floyd; Stevie Ray Vaughn; The Allman Brothers; The Grateful Dead--to name a few.  And so, the song I chose is one of Breezy's favorites and one of the first Grateful Dead songs her dad taught her to play on the guitar.

I'm sure she'd love it if y'all stop by her blog, The Blonde Oxymoron, with a birthday greeting!

Happy 27th Birthday my darling daughter! We love you more than you'll ever know--and then some!

  7. Good Job Momma!! It went by too fast didn't it.
Funny thing when Dad is a rocker like it was in my case, my kids grew up singing songs like that too.

It made me cry but it was good tears.

  10. melody- 30? That's impossible. I refuse to believe it. You must have married when you were, like, 10! I don't know how it happened! I think we blinked.

FG-Yes, too fast indeed! I miss those days. The lovelies say they wouldn't have it any other way- that they didn't miss a thing not singing 'kids' songs. They certainly have a great appreciation for all genres of music. Oh, and you're not old enough to have a 30 year old either!

Stephanie- Yeah, I tried to hide it. LOL She is a cutie! Thanks!

Betty- Thank you for taking the time to come back and look at it!

    Debby- Thanks!
