Chit Chattin' on Tuesday

Tuesday's here and that means joining up with Patrice for a bit of chattin'.

The darn weather dude (and one dudette) lied about us getting some snow flurries. I'm not over that disappointment yet. We have had colder temps and I guess that's just what I'll have to be happy with. Now that there's rain in the forecast, however, the temps are climbing back up into the 60s. Sheesh. Now you'll understand why I chose what I did in question number 4.

It's time to chat with Patrice! And all you need to do to join in the fun is click the button!

Everyday Ruralty

Questions
  1. What's your favorite fruit? That changes with the seasons. But I never like blackberries.
  2. Wendell would like to know if you've ever been horseback riding.Yes. I used to go all the time when I was growing up. I loved it!
  3. Do you carry a small purse, a big one, or just a wallet? It's not even a wallet. It's a Vera Bradley key chain with a little purse attached that holds my driver's license and cards. But the bag I carry my stuff to school in is HUGE.
  4. If you could travel to one state for a day (all expense paid), where would you go? If you're not in the US, where would you like to travel within your country? Maine or Alaska. I've always wanted to visit both places.
  5. What was your first car? I got my first car in 1975 and it was a Ford Galaxy 500. I loved that thing.

That's all I've got time for today. I might or might not be sneaking this post in while at work. Probably not though. ;)

Have a great Tuesday!

  4. Blackberries are a favorite fruit around here in the summer. They grow everywhere and it's pretty hard to pass up tasty free stuff. It has entertainment value, too, as the grandkids love to go picking with us. Of course, we all eat way more than we take home.

The first car I ever had to myself was a '63 Austin Westminster. Really fussy to drive but I didn't care...it was mine.

  5. Kim- I don't like them at all. But my brothers do and they used to bring them home all the time for mother to make them a blackberry cobbler. My granddaddy gave me that car. That's probably why I loved it so much. That and the fact that it went FAST. LOL

MawMaw- I do! I just got my new one last week from a Thirty-One party. It's the best one I've ever had!

Mimi- Shhh! Don't tell. LOL I know what you mean about taking stuff out of the bag. I have to be very careful or I'll never have what I need at school or at home.

Stephanie- My brothers would go out and pick blackberries and bring them home for mother to make them a blackberry cobbler. I just never like the seeds. I always eat more than I pick when it comes to strawberries!

  6. You could always come visit Wisconsin. We have the snow and cold of Alaska, but you don't have to fly as far. :-)

  7. The purse on the key chain sounds like a good idea. I have to chaperone a school trip in April and that might be a great option to bring along.

  8. I've always wanted to visit Maine and Alaska. My sister and her dh went on a cruise. There is also a train that goes through the Denali that would be cool.

On the old TV show, Green Acres, has an episode where Lisa had the town sales guy sit on the roof of their house and throw soap flakes down so her husband could enjoy a white Christmas. I feel like I should do that for you. I will refrain from enlisting the big guy's help on the roof. You probably wouldn't want the horse falling through to your living room. :) Have a week full of great things!

  11. Ooh, to go to Alaska and see the Northern Lights would be so amazing! I'm allergic to berries so I won't be serving any up soon.
