Hodge Podge Day

It's Hump Day!

Let's celebrate with a little Hodge Podge!

1. It's National Bike Week...do you own a bicycle? When did you last ride a bike? I do own a bicycle. I used to ride it all the time until DoodleBug's bike was stolen (happens all the time downtown Charleston) and I had to give it to her. And then that one was stolen so I had to buy her another one. And then the husband bought me another one but I haven't been on it yet because it isn't 'Tucker ready.'

2. What's something you learned in school that wasn't part of the curriculum? That teachers don't always tell the truth.

3. What's a food you've never tried, but want to try? What's a food you've tried and will never try again? I've tried all the foods that I care to try. I'm not one to play around with food and try things that look funny or are from the category, Should NOT be Eaten like alligator or squid or oysters which look like something one coughs up NOT like something one should swallow. I was made to try liver once when I was really little. I've never had it again. Apparently, I'm allergic. Which is good because that is some NASTY smelling/tasting stuff.

4. Have you been more demanding on yourself lately or less? Why? Do you think that's a good trend? More demanding. I'm working on self-discipline. There will be a post soon.

5. Who is your favorite book, movie, or TV show villain? I don't know that I have a favorite villain. I am not usually a fan of the villains. But I bet the lovelies would vote for Voldemort.

6. How concerned are you about identity theft? Well, seeing as how I am from SC and our idiot governor (because she was too cheap to provide security) allowed our state department of revenue get hacked and over 3 million of us were affected, I'm pretty darn concerned. It drives me NUTS when a woman who takes a political office is a moron.

7. I saw this last question on Dawn's blog a couple of week's ago and asked if I could share. Everybody hop over and say hi, but first answer this...would you rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place or an extraordinary home in an ordinary place? Is an ordinary home in an ordinary place an option? That's what I'd prefer.

8.  Insert your own random thought here. I'm still mulling over potential names for SonInLawToBe so no official decision has been made as of right now.

There are only 2 more weeks of school left after this one and guess what I have? Bronchitis. Good grief. Anyway, it is really, really, REALLY, zapping all of my energy so I may continue to be MIA from blogland for another week.

On a happier note- Deanie and friends are arriving here tomorrow night for the long weekend and Breezy arrives on Friday. On Saturday, we are all going to begin the search for bridesmaids dresses and the wedding gown for Birdie!

AND--DoodleBug is still in Stuttgart and having a lovely time. She leaves for Zurich on Sunday, then to Paris and then Amsterdam. We Skype daily which is something I am very grateful for!

Have a great rest of the week, y'all!

I feel like I have missed so much of what is going on with you. I have to get caught up. I am so glad that now you have a wedding to plan. I will enjoy each and every bit. :) Your cup is over flowing into your lap just like mine. Well get better I wish I could come bring you some soup. I wouldn't bring alligator or oyster or squid. :) Just chicken. :) Here is a hug from me. O

  6. You do NOT live in an ordinary place! Charleston is lovely! (I know I live near it too.) I consider the lowcountry an "extraordinary" and amazing part of the world!

  11. Weddings are so much fun. As for names for SonInLawToBe, here are my suggestions: MyFavoriteSonInLaw (that's what I call mine... 'course I only have one daughter), SirSonInLaw, SonInLawSupreme (does that sound like a dessert?) Lol. SomeSonInLaw, World'sBestSonInLaw...
    I'll keep thinking. :)
    Have a great day!

  12. Judy- Thank you! I would say I'm going to get in there and enjoy it anyway, but this is kicking my behind right now. I'm determined to get over it!

Theresa- Gross, right? LOL Thanks- we never seem to have any down time even though the lovelies are all grown up now!

Kim- Gee, I can't imagine why you'd be behind in blogland. LOL Can't wait to read about and see all your wedding events! LOVE the picture you put on facebook!

Joyce- It will be fun, but especially if I'm feeling better. The wedding is May 10, 2014. Which sounds like loads of time but, with Charleston being so popular for weddings, we have to get our ducks in a row soon. BTW- I told DoodleBug what you said about the Christmas Market in Stuttgart and they're going this weekend! Thanks!

its- Thanks, you're so sweet! Right? I can't believe we were hacked!

Marla- I know and I agree. Which is why I would prefer a more ordinary place. Loads of tourists all the time.

small town- No, Charleston isn't ordinary but it IS touristy. ha! My hands seem to be full all the time even though the lovelies are all grown up. What's wrong with THAT picture? LOL I've really enjoyed Skyping with DoodleBug!

Debby- Thanks! I can't believe I picked NOW to get sick. Silly me.

Lucy- I HOPE it's going to be a fun filled weekend and that I'm not cranky the whole time.

Kathy- Exciting and 'there goes more money'...LOL Thanks!

Susan- They are fun! Except the whole money thing. LOL SonInLawSupreme dessert---hilarious!
