My Little Mountain Getaway, Part 2 and a Birthday

Y'all remember that I did not go to the mountains by myself, right? I ended up with all four of the lovelies, two boys and a dog or two and then my dad and my wonderful step-mother came up which was great because we had Christmas with them.

Deanie and her DrummerBoy.

Are they the sweetest or what?

A photo book of the May wedding between Birdie and SILextraordinaire.

Boys aren't the only ones who love to blow things up. :)

DrummerBoy's little doggies.

The boys and Dad.

Deanie and the grandparents.

Even adding a couple more people did not cramp us. The cabin was perfect for everything we did.

SILextraordinaire took his camera out one night to play around and got these---

If the moon hadn't been waxing, it would have been useless to even try. It gets dark out there. I mean DARK. As in you cannot see your hand in front of your face. Thank God for the stars and the moon.

I so enjoyed my little mountain getaway, that I've already booked another trip! If y'all are interested in spending a glorious time in Lake Lure, NC in a clean, cozy, somewhat secluded cabin that is centrally located to so many fun places to visit and activities from which to choose, just check it out at VRBO!

OH! And the birthday is---MINE! I am 50+ today. Ha!

Stayed tuned for #3!

  7. I love to get away and in fact only told Tim the other day that I really feel like I need a break from my family for a few days, I love birthdays but you know what would be cool if when we reach a 100 we stop aging for a while

    1. I needed one too. But they followed me. LOL It was good though. Just the change of scenery was helpful. It would be totally cool to stop aging. Keep living, but stop aging. Yep. I'm down with that. :)

  8. Happy belated birthday, Pam! You're just a child!! :-) 50 is the new 40. I think that 60s are the new 59s, so just warning you when that time comes. LOL
Loved the wood shots at night! Looks like you set the place on fire! So much fun and it shows in the faces. CUTE Deanie and Drummer.

    1. 50 may be the new 40, but I'm closer to 60 than I like to admit. Just a few more years. I liked those shots too. SIL did a great job on those. If The Wild Feathers ever come close, check them out. Drummer Boy is extremely talented and just as nice as he is cute. :)
