Meet Me On Monday!

I was especially glad to see Java's 20th edition of her Meet Me On Monday blog hop tonight since I was sitting here not enjoying having an empty nest on Halloween!  Since I can't seem to figure out how to put the whole thing here (linky and all that) just click on the button below (or the one in my side bar) and join in the fun!!!

Questions:

1.  Have you ever been on a cruise?  Yes.  I went to the Bahamas when I was a junior in college. It was big fun until I discovered that Tequila shots and a swaying ship DO NOT MIX!

2.  What is your favorite way to eat eggs?  I love them the way Hubs prepares them--he calls it 'bird in the nest'...kind of a poached egg in a hole cut in a piece of toast.

3.  What is your favorite reading material?  Hard cover books!  I love the way they feel and the way the pages turn.

4.  Name all the pets that you have ever had?  Mostly dogs.  Two Dachshunds, Duke and Duchess; one Schnauzer, Snoopy; one Dalmation, Cleopatra; one Poodle, Jacques; one Golden Retriever, Buddy; one hamster, Chili Bean; one gold fish, Goldie; one Beagle, Bocephus;  two cats, Kiki and Jazzy; and our current precious one is a Yorkie Poo named Tucker.

5.  Were you ever a girl/boy scout?  Yes.  I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout; my mom was a Girl Scout Leader (for the teenage girls) and all three of my brothers were boy scouts.  But I hated girl scouts because I wanted to be in boy scouts with my brothers-- I thought they had much more fun! (I still think this, especially after two of our girls tried and NOTHING had changed!).

  1. It's amazing how many of us were Brownies/Girl Scouts. And you're right the Boys DO have more fun...I know. I've been a Co-Den Leader for my son as a Cub Scout and an Assistant Scout Master in Boy Scouts. They go on the COOLEST camp-outs. And they get to make Eagle Scout!

I love that you had a dog named Snoopy!

  5. I'll have to remember to bring some Dramamine when I go on my cruise. Thanks!

I miss the Halloween thing myself now that my boys are too old for it. And I live on a road with no sidewalks or street lights, so we don't get trick or treaters. Saves us a ton of money in candy though.
