How to Use Boxes and Packing Paper

Spring has not sprung, thankfully. It's not like it hasn't been spring-like all winter so, when winter finally showed up this week, I welcomed it with open arms. We didn't get any of that wonderful snow that others got and we didn't get any of the snowstorms that caused damage to people and/or their homes. While I would love to have the snow, I'm grateful not to have had the blizzards.

When you have horrid allergies that only leave you alone during the winter months, you look forward to those few months. We haven't had winter in two years. However, this week, I'm waking up without the daily sinus headache and it's WONDERFUL. Winter is also kind to me in the energy department. It's the one season here in Charleston that does not zap me of all energy.

But what do you do with your adorable granddaughter when it's 32 degrees outside? The same thing you do when it's way too hot to go outside. You become grateful when the FedEx guy shows up with your Jet order.

Yep. We played with the box and the packing paper. Baby M went inside the box and around the box and on the box. She stood at the box and played with the packing paper.

She took the paper and waved it up and down and round and round. And she did this for nearly an hour.

When her daddy arrived to pick her up. the packing paper went with them since they're packing up to move to their brand new house! Win-win! And that friends, is the proper way to use boxes and packing paper.

And now, the winner of the comfort jar giveaway is:
Cathy from Tales of the TCKK Family!

Congrats, Cathy!

All I need to know is which jar you want.
Just hop over to CoasterDoodles and you can let me know on Instagram or here on the blog.

  1. Pam your little granddaughter is so adorable. She looks like she is having so much fun with the box. She is growing up so fast just like my Colton.

I can't believe I won. That is so awesome! I'm so excited and can't the comfort jar. I live them all and would be happy with any one of them. How about the one in the front on the picture. Orange with blue lid. Thank you, thank you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and I hope you have a great weekend.

    1. You got it! I need your mailing address, too. You can message that to me on Instagram or FB if you want. That way, no one else will see it. Email is always an option as well.

I can't believe how quickly these little heart fillers of ours are growing. We're staring Baby M's first birthday in the face. Seriously, she'll be a year old in only 3 1/2 months. At least we live close enough to see them often!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, too!

  2. For our grandson's first birthday, he ignored all of his presents ... and had a great time with the extra large Costco box that we had used to transport stuff in!
PS - Gorgeous photos of your grand-daughter! Glad to see that our grandchild is not the only one who loves boxes.

    1. My girls always enjoyed the boxes and paper more than the gifts when they were very young. Of course, they outgrew this quite quickly. LOL I can't wait to make a box fort with Baby M! Those are fantastic! Thank you for your kind comment and for sharing!

  5. What a precious grandbaby! Yep, little ones love boxes. They even love the box better than the toy that is packaged in the box. Thank you Pam for sharing at #BloggingGrandmothersLinkParty #LinkUp #BlogParty. I shared on social media.

    1. Thank you! Don't they just love boxes? I can't wait til she's old enough to get out the big brown roll of kraft paper and crayons. :) I enjoyed the link party! I've already met new people! Thanks, again!

  7. Cute as a button! My mom is originally from the low country of South Carolina. Walterboro, it's a little town, she misses the beach so much. So funny! Thanks for making me smile.

    1. Walterboro is 45 minutes inland from us. We're just over the bridge from Charleston, in Mount Pleasant. My brother's company is in Walterboro. It is a small town, for sure. They have some small town fun festivals there. Small world, eh? :)
