The OLD Wednesday Medley

Hello, Wednesday! I started to say, "Hello, Meddlers" but that didn't sound right even though we are participating in the Medley. Ha!

Some of you know I'm participating in the April A-Z Challenge and was so excited when I thought today's letter is---P! How lucky is that?! I don't have to stretch anything because today is National Haiku POETRY day so I'm all set!  EXCEPT for one thing. Today's letter is O. How am I going to pull this one off?

Not to mention the fact I thought today was Tuesday so...I'm late.

1.  Haiku poetry is actually pretty easy to write.  Give it a try right here...
MINE:
Because I am so old
My mind can't think of a thing
And so I stole these.
My Daughter's:
How is that my face
The mirror must be broken
I am not that old.
My dear friend's:
Bones ache at junctions
Organs with ten malfunctions
Ben Gay now unction.
AND, my O word is: OLD
2.  Haiku poetry aside, have you ever written a poem? I have written several poems over the last several decades. Will you share it with us?  Oh, heck no! I'm a poet wannabe so I'll keep those particular writings to myself. You're welcome.
3.  Do you have a favorite poet or does poetry usually make you yawn?  I adore poetry! I have several favorite poets but I usually just go with Robert Frost when asked. My list is rather lengthy and all of them are so different. I especially love to hear poetry being read. And yes, it matters who is doing the reading. :)
4.  April 17  is National Ellis Island Family History Day, too,  Did any of your ancestors or relatives immigrate through Ellis Island from another country? None of my ancestors came here via Ellis Island as they all came over way before Ellis Island opened but they did arrive from other countries, all European.
5.  We also celebrate National Cheeseball Day on April 17th.  Do you have a favorite cheeseball recipe to share with us or have cheeseballs basically disappeared from parties today? I do not have a cheeseball recipe mostly because I am not a huge cheeseball fan. Mother used to make one decades ago at Christmas time but I have no idea what the recipe is. It's not something that lasted all that long. I don't remember it after my grammar school days.
6.  If you want to share, please tell us something random about your week.  Lula Mae had some tummy issues after school yesterday but felt really good by this morning. Her mommy thought it best to keep Lula Mae out of school on today, just in case so guess what I got to do?

Yep. I got to get exhausted just watching her. I am not kidding. She. Never. Stops. There was never a fever with the upset tummy and it certainly did not slow her down. Jumping is her favorite thing right now. If anyone needs a little girl to play Tigger in a Winnie the Pooh play or movie, I've got your girl right here.
She's going to school tomorrow. LOL

  2. Like the mid-air pictures. Not of any importance but I gave up cheeseballs long ago. I didn't think it needed an announcement.
